Ordination Exam Readers Needed

The Presbytery of Boise must elect and report our ordination exam readers (G-3.0302b) for the 2020-2021 cycle.

Boise Presbytery continues as part of the West Region that evaluates exams the week of October 5-9, 2020. Based upon the allocation formula set by the Presbyteries’ Cooperative Committee on Examinations for Candidates, our presbytery is requested to provide1 ruling elder(s), and 1 teaching elder(s), and 1 alternate reader.

If you would be interested in being one of our exam readers for the week of Oct 5-9, please contact Stated Clerk Dick Green as soon as possible.  You can submit your own name or the name of someone you think would be a good candidate for being a reader.  Clergy are encouraged to help in suggesting names of ruling elders from their churches who would be able to perform this important work.  Of course, please check with the person before submitting their name.  All names that are submitted will be forwarded to the COM who will make recommendations for approval by the Presbytery at its August meeting.

All work will be done online, and it is anticipated to take up to 10-12 hours of time in evaluating exams during the reading period.

Click the button on the right to read a 2016 document that lists the qualifications and responsibilities of exam readers.
